Hi I’m Carter Smith, I am doing a fundraiser with my aunt Lacey to help me get to nationals for FCCLA this summer in Florida. I placed first in my star event at state and can't wait to compete in July. Proceeds from this shirt will help me get to nationals.
The phrase Empty Your Backpack was first brought up to me by Sam Demma at FCCLA state this year. It has really stuck with me, it means don’t let your own doubts prevent you from achieving anything. So empty your backpack and let go of your negative thoughts to live a more happy life. The metaphor of the “invisible backpack” is that people carry "backpacks" filled with doubts, fears and other people’s expectations. He told us to let go of this negativity that is holding you back. That's my challenge to each one of us as well.

Heather CVC: 90% Airlume combed and ring-spun cotton, 10% poly
Prism: 99% Airlume combed and ring-spun cotton, 1% poly
